Official Montcalm County criminal records come from the public office that created or maintains them. The contacts below route court documents, sheriff reports, jail status, state criminal histories, and police reports to their proper custodians. This private site cannot accept a records request or issue an official copy.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference cannot retrieve, change, certify, or remove a criminal record. It also cannot accept a Michigan set-aside filing or official check request.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office tied to the Montcalm County record:

  • Felony court files: contact the Circuit Court Clerk, 639 N. State St., Stanton, 989-831-3520
  • Sheriff and county records: file with the FOIA Coordinator at 211 W. Main St., third floor, Stanton, or call 989-831-7300
  • Current jail status: call the Montcalm County Jail automated information line at 989-831-7592
  • State criminal history: use Michigan State Police CJIC and its ICHAT or fingerprint-review channel
  • Police incident reports: contact the Sheriff or city police department that created the report
